SafeinHome secures $25M for remote IDD expansion

Dec 15, 2025

SafeinHome has closed the initial phase of a $25 million Series D funding round led by SEMCAP Health. This latest investment brings the company’s total capital raised to approximately $67 million. The funds aim to enhance SafeinHome’s technology-driven Remote Supports offerings for Medicaid programs and extend its reach into new regions, including California.

Advancing remote supports for Medicaid populations

SafeinHome integrates a trained remote support workforce with assistive sensors and software applications. This combination enables people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live more independently, while adhering to individualized health and safety plans. Currently operating in 17 states, SafeinHome partners with Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations, and service providers to deliver these supports.

Company leaders emphasize that the investment will expand service capacity and improve personalization through advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence. These enhancements are intended to help meet the growing demand for IDD supports amid Medicaid budget constraints and workforce shortages.

Addressing workforce and budget challenges with technology

The company’s remote support model provides a scalable alternative to traditional in-person care. Investors highlight its potential to improve outcomes for individuals with IDD while easing financial pressures on states and managed care plans facing rising long-term support needs. SafeinHome’s approach aligns with broader Medicaid innovation trends focused on leveraging technology to optimize service delivery, increase program sustainability, and address gaps in workforce availability.
